Free From Easter Picks 2022

What the Austen? | What the Austen | Jane Austen Blog | Free from Easter eggs

This is my Second Easter Dairy and Gluten-free, and this time around I am no rookie in finding free-from Easter picks. It's great to see that the shops are being packed with more and more free from goodies which is sooo good to see and is definitely making life easier. I have been to a few UK shops to have a look what's on offer and a lot of my finds are subject to supermarkets in England, however a lot of the branded options can be found online. Where possible I will leave links or location so you can find them yourself.

I would also recommend checking out last years blog post as a lot of those are still available this year!

Please note that these are options that I am happy to eat, I must emphasise you always check the advisory information and take your own personal dietary requirements into consideration.

The Cutest Little Bunny Egg

(Vegan | DF | GF)

Choc Bunny is one of Sainsbury's free from adds this year, they have a matching egg but the Bunny is so much cuter! The chocolate itself isn't as nice as some of the other brands, but its a fun easter treat. Sainsbury's own rages runs cheaper than the brand stuff so is good if you want to get a few.

Buttermilk Baby!

(Vegan | DF | GF)

Buttermilk Salted Caramel Choccy Egg & Caramel Cups + Buttermilk Zingy Orange Crisp Choccy Egg & Buttons

In terms of packaging these are my favourite this year! and if you have tasted any of the Buttermilk range before you know they are taking the free from market by storm. The Salted Caramel Egg is actually the egg my boyfriend got me for easter and I can't wait to eat it in a few days! Here is a link to their full range: Buttermilk they can be found In various shops.

Strawberry Crunch

(Vegan | GF | WF | DF)

Strawberry Crunch White Choc Egg, Tesco Free From range. Like Sainsbury's, Tesco have an amazing selection of home range FF Easter eggs. One of my favourite finds this year is this strawberry and white chocolate egg, it is rare to find white chocolate in the free from section so this is a really nice add from Tesco.

A little bit of luxury

(Vegan| GF)

Rhythm108 Swiss Vegan Mini Truffle Egg Selection, these were a really nice find this year and a great gift option for a Free From friend. They are on the more pricey side, but truffle eggs... sounds like a winner to me. I found them in Sainsbury's on their own, but you can also get them online in a selection box which has loads of Easter goodies on the Rhythm 108 Website.

The Golden Egg

(GF | Egg free | Nut free | Vegan)

Nomo Vegan & Free From Caramel Egg & Bar. Nomo Caramel creations are such a firm favourite for me, it was actually the flavour of my Christmas Calendar this year. I think it's the best in their range. I have already eaten one of these eggs myself this year haha, and it was so good. Nomo eggs can be found in most supermarkets, I got mine from Sainsbury's.

A Great Mini-Egg Alternative

(Vegan)

The Doisy & Dam Good Eggs 80g bag are available at Holland and Barrett or at doisyanddam.com. This one made the list again this year, as they are my favourite mini egg alternative. Doisy & Dam's also make a smarties alternative!

Free-From Eggs range from around £3 - £15, and so if you would like an alternative to chocolate you could always go for a book option. One of my favourite gifts is

Jane Was Here: An Illustrated Guide to Jane Austen's England. You can buy it here!
